London (07/11/11)

7th November – A ceremony taking place today as part of the Enterprise Ireland Trade Mission to Johannesburg will see the Irish Minister for Trade & Development, Jan O’Sullivan, officially recognise a new South African channel partnership for global elearning provider MindLeaders ThirdForce. During the ceremony Susan Moore, Head of International and EMEA at MindLeaders ThirdForce, is delivering a keynote speech to more potential partners and resellers about her vision for elearning in Africa.

The support of Enterprise Ireland and the Minister for the partner programme recognises the history of investment in learning technologies and digital literacy across the region by MindLeaders ThirdForce.

This year MindLeaders ThirdForce established a new office in Johannesburg and employed local elearning specialist Hazel Mathoora. She spearheads the growing channel partner programme, which makes one of the world’s most extensive portfolios of high quality elearning available across Africa.

“I believe that elearning is going to be the conduit to positive change in the education sector in South Africa and Africa as a whole” says Hazel. “Making education accessible to everyone in Africa through elearning will change people’s lives, empowering them to unleash their true potential. It is great to see major corporations like MindLeaders ThirdForce commit to such monumental change in Africa.”

Throughout the past decade the MindLeaders ThirdForce e-assessment solution has supported the delivery of International Computer Driver’s License (ICDL) qualifications to millions of learners in North African countries in a partnership with UNESCO. MindLeaders ThirdForce also has extensive experience in Basic IT Programmes in South Africa and Sub Saharan Africa.

Committed to bridging the digital divide, MindLeaders ThirdForce also works with the Computers4Africa project to help lift Africans out of poverty through IT training.
